Video Editing Certificate
The certificate program in video editing provides a
coherent course of study in film and video as
contemporary art forms. This program is an
interdisciplinary course of study that introduces
students to the critical analysis of new
communications technologies: film, photography,
and television. Film, television, and video are
101
ubiquitous in the contemporary world and they
strongly influence who we are and how we
understand our place in that world. The Certificate
Program in Video Editing gives students an
opportunity to explore the attraction and
significance of these media, develops concepts for
a fuller historical and critical understanding of
them, and provides exposure to their enormous
diversity in a variety of global and local contexts.
